JUNE 2010 - THE CONSERVATORY VENUE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR PRIVATE HIRE.

We request that you ensure that your appointed suppliers have adequate insurance and are aware of our Health and Safety policy by forwarding them this page.

Although parking is available in Ransome’s Dock  courtyard we accept no responsibility for damage caused to vehicles parked during an event or overnight.

Access is restricted by our spiral staircase and although we are compliant with fire regulations our disability access is limited. Please bear this in mind before booking an event and discuss possible solutions with our manager.

Children should be strictly supervised particularly on the rooftop areas and spiral staircase. Parents invited to any event must accept full responsibility for any children who attend and bring their children entirely at their own risk and the client is required to advise their guests of the above. There are two areas where the ceiling across the length of The Conservatory Venue is low and children should not be carried on adults shoulders.

The roof terrace can not be used in the event of rain or wet weather due to the slippery nature of the surface. Any person using the roof terrace during such weather conditions does so entirely at their own risk and the client is required to advise their guests of the above.

Glasses or bottles are not allowed in Ransome’s Dock courtyard.

Candles can only be used within the premises if contained in suitable holders.

Fireworks are not permitted.

Animals are not permitted.

The ogee roof of The Conservatory Venue is not accessible by maintenance or other contractors until a written schedule of works is drawn up and a safe working practice notice agreed.

Access is not permitted onto roof adjacent to The Conservatory Venue terrace.

Please comply with all signage in place and act accordingly.
